Søren was raised with the highest legal standards having spent seven years as an M&A lawyer at a top-tier Danish law firm. Søren knows M&A and investment processes inside out and has advised numerous buyers, sellers and investors within both private equity and venture. What sets Søren apart is his first-hand experience with startups – as a founder, as a CEO, as a board member and as a seller – experiencing everything from the troublesome “end-of-runways” to successful exits.

Søren has founded and closed several investments in his own startups and advised several legal-tech companies, and he plays an active part in the Danish legal-tech environment. This experience gives him a depth of understanding that goes beyond just knowing how to prepare legal frameworks. Having been subject to key man clauses, vesting schemes, non-compete clauses himself, Søren understands the “real life” commercial implications of the legal issues. This fundamental experience also helps him understand what really matters to investors (and why it matters).

At Highbridge, Søren is back to his legal roots leveraging his unique combination of a love of legal craftmanship and first-hand founder and startup experience. Søren primarily advises on corporate and commercial law, focusing on every legal and strategic aspect of the startup lifecycle - from pre-seed funding to scaling to exit.

When not dedicating his time to law and startups, Søren is the father of twin girls and a son. Søren is a happy husband and a passionate golfer.

Søren is licensed by the Danish Ministry of Justice and is a member of the Danish Bar and Law Society.
