Simon started his first business in high-school and has been in the startup ecosystem ever since. Today, with over 25 years of experience as a founder, manager, investor and advisor under his belt, Simon’s focus is on business development and risk analysis for both emerging companies and the venture capital investors funding them.

After graduating from law school top of his class, Simon trained at a top-tier Danish law firm and was then headhunted to the corporate world. In 2014 he decided to build a new type of startup law firm while living in New York. This firm was merged into Highbridge in 2018.

Simon’s unique combination of the highest level of legal standards and experience from both small startups and big corporates mixed with relentless ambition and a fantastic network is a resource that has helped hundreds of startups to grow and succeed.

As general counsel, Simon is a close sparring partner for founders, executive management and investors across a wide variety of industries. He advises on corporate and commercial law with special focus on corporate governance, growth funding, commercial transactions, team incentive structures and M&A.

In addition, Simon is an enthusiastic legal-tech advocate, which he believes will change society as we know it.

Simon is licensed by the Danish Ministry of Justice and is a member of the Danish Bar and Law Society.
